The cost of a deer stalking trip depends on many factors including which estate you visit, how many stags you wish to hunt and the quality of the stag selected for the stalk.

Generally, prices start from around 150 a day and this would include transport within the estate, the services of a ghillie and often the cleaning of the trophy and skull. The deer carcass normally remains the property of the estate and will be sold as venison.

However, for more exclusive estates, the cost of deer stalking can rise to several thousand pounds for a week. This normally includes accommodation at the estate's lodge or castle, meals, drinks and services as well as the deer stalking itself. Most estates will tailor packages in light of your requirements.
