Red Deer Stalking - Costs
The cost of a deer stalking trip depends on many factors including which estate you visit, how many stags
you wish to hunt and the quality of the stag selected for the stalk.
Generally, prices start from around £150 a day and this would include transport within the estate, the services of
a ghillie and often the cleaning of the trophy and skull. The deer carcass normally remains the property of the estate and
will be sold as venison.
However, for more exclusive estates, the cost of deer stalking can rise to several thousand pounds for a week. This normally
includes accommodation at the estate's lodge or castle, meals, drinks and services as well as the deer stalking itself. Most
estates will tailor packages in light of your requirements.
It is always worth contacting a couple of different estates to compare costs, and make sure you clarify what is included
in the the prices you are quoted as it varies from estate to estate.
